Surah Hijr – verse 9 Allah says:

“We have without doubt, sent down the message (Quran) and we will assuredly guard it from corruption .”

Hadith; sayings of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him):

“Best amongst you is one who learns and teaches the Quran.”

Islamic education and its implementation is the cornerstone of being a good Muslim. Greenford Medina Islamic School (GMIS) is dedicated to this cause and offers education classes for children. We believe that success of any of our students studying here can be achieved by appropriate behaviour and attitude. The school aims to provide the framework of positive and caring discipline through effective and timely intervention.

Students are actively praised for positive action: Excellent work, acts of kindness and consideration, good effort and excellent attendance.

Staff members have a clear responsibly to encourage and positively enforce the accepted standards of discipline.

This is a policy which states the aims, principles and strategies for discipline at the GMIS. This policy is related to all students undergoing their education at the GMIS and will outline the borders of what will be accepted and what will not be accepted. It is also committed to promote self control, respect for all members of staff, elders in general, and sacred books and most importantly the mosque. We expect the students to conduct themselves in a manner which will be a credit to themselves, their parents and our school.
